The BriteSpace Response to Covid-19

As the government announces the gradual re-opening of various sectors of the economy, and the daily number of Covid-19 cases continues to decline, it seems like we can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Like we are finally seeing the light at the end of this long tunnel.  But, as we have been reminded over and over again, life will not return to the normal we are accustomed to. In order to maintain some level of social freedom we as a society will have to follow certain guidelines, and live our lives within stricter parameters. As we discussed in our article “The Spread of Illness in the Office” businesses will also need to implement changes in order to adhere to government requirements for reopening. We talked about what businesses can do to help reduce the spread of illness in the workplace. But, most importantly we want to share what we at BriteSpace Offices are doing to ensure that our members have a safe and clean environment in which to work.

Distancing

In compliance with social guidelines to remain 6ft apart, we will have markings on the floor to facilitate appropriate social distancing. Additionally, when moving through the office we will have directional floor markings to help facilitate the flow of traffic in one direction and help avoid unnecessary close contact.

For desks that allow multiple-person usage at one time, members can expect to have a plexiglass partition between themselves and those in front and/or beside them. Desks will also be placed 6ft away from each other.

Sanitation

In addition to the nightly cleaning that is already in place, we have arranged to increase the frequency of cleaning for areas of the office with high usage and traffic. Sanitization stations equipped with supplies will also be available to members to ensure that work areas and surfaces can be cleaned before and after use.

As we mentioned in our previous article, hand sanitization is one of the key factors in preventing the spread of germs, which why we will have hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility.

As an added measure to our regularly scheduled nightly cleaning, we will also have disinfection fogging throughout the office twice a week. This will be done overnight to avoid disruption to our members.

Masks

We will require that all members wear masks while in the facility in order to ensure the protection of themselves and others. If you do not have your own mask we will have masks available for you to use upon request.

At BriteSpace we understand that many will still be apprehensive about resuming normal daily functions which is why we are committed to doing everything we can to make our members’ transition back to the workplace as easy as possible. As part of this commitment, we will continue to remain up-to-date with Public Health recommendations so that our members have a safe and comfortable environment to work and flourish.
